Liz is constantly awed by the nourishing nature of the Montessori method. She is proud to teach in a manner that views young children as capable, invites them to contribute meaningfully to their community, honors their inner motivation, and offers them space to make discoveries for themselves. Liz marvels in witnessing children unfold along their natural path of development and is grateful for the opportunity to continue developing as an early childhood educator in New London.
Liz’s diverse experiences in education have led her to this role, at this time, in this place. In the first decade of her career Liz taught kindergarten in Newark, NJ, received her Masters in Education, completed her Montessori training, taught in two Bay Area charter schools, led a Montessori Primary classroom in Oakland, CA, and embarked on her school startup journey with Wildflower.
New Hampshire has always felt most like home to Liz. She has spent time in New London since 2005 and moved here permanently in 2023 following the birth of her son. The past many summers she has spent time working at Spring Ledge Farm. Liz volunteers with Kearsarge Neighborhood Partners and Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust as well.
Liz has a special passion for children’s literature and is constantly developing as a steward of the land she inhabits. She earned her B.A. from Dartmouth, M.Ed from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and AMI Primary Montessori certification from Montessori Northwest.
